The WCRP OSC Scientific Organising Committee (SOC) was established in late 2021 and has met several times since. Ten subgroups have been formed to advance key planning aspects for the Open Science Conference (OSC), such as building dialogue between the Global North and Global South and involving Early to Mid-Career researchers (EMCRs). In April, a call went out to the wider WCRP community, partners, co-sponsors, and funders for suggestions of themes and topics to be covered by the OSC. The Program and Hybrid subgroups co-developed a program outline to incorporate many themes and topics.
Posters will play an important role at the OSC and will be available online at least two weeks before the Conference. Virtual poster sessions will be organised during those two weeks. A call has been issued for poster session topics and side events. The SOC has finalized the overarching themes for the conference and identified theme leads who will work with the session convenors to develop a detailed program in the coming months.

A short “teaser” video will be launched in September and abstract submission and registration will open early December.
